A Season of Gratitude
Anthony DeVenuta | Writer
As the Temperatures drop and the semester moves forward, Thanksgiving offers a brief but welcome pause to reflect and recharge. For many of us, it’s a time to gather with loved ones, eat good food, and maybe even take a breather from all the assignments, deadlines, and responsibilities.
Thanksgiving has always felt like a moment to reconnect with family, with friends, and even with yourself. It’s not just about the food, though, let’s be honest, we all have that one dish we eagerly wait for. It’s about gratitude, the quiet moments where we remember the things and people that keep us going.
For me, this semester has been about progress. Watching my fellow students at LCCC overcome challenges and achieve their goals shows the strength we all have. It’s easy to get caught up in daily life, but moments like Thanksgiving remind us to pause and appreciate how far we’ve come. Whether it’s passing a tough exam, managing school and work, or just staying consistent, there’s always something to recognize and value.
So as Thanksgiving approaches, let’s take time to appreciate how far we’ve come, the obstacles we’ve overcome, and the finish line ahead. Whether you’re celebrating with family, friends, or simply taking a well-earned nap, remember that gratitude is more than just a holiday, it’s a mindset.
As we gear up for the final stretch of the semester, let’s carry that spirit of thankfulness forward. We’ve got this, and together, we’ll finish strong.
