Another Lap Around the Sun

Birthdays are usually something many of us looked forward to when we were younger. It’s the time of year when your friends and family come together and celebrate your next lap around the sun. 

When I was younger, I loved celebrating my birthday and I still do. However, now I look at the number on the cake and think to myself that this number is serious. I am going to finish school soon, start a new job, and maybe even have kids. Time flies by fast and sometimes I feel it needs to slow down so I can enjoy every moment. 

Even with this nervous feeling in my gut every time the number rises, I love celebrating my birthday. I love seeing my family and friends come together and make more memories. It’s nerve-racking At the same time, I'm excited to see what comes next. 

This past lap I just finished was filled with amazing memories with my husband. We started mountain biking and hiking more.

We also got a new puppy and got into aquascaping. I started riding my motorcycle more and got better at riding. The biggest change this past year was that I started going back to school. Being back in school has been difficult, but I’m very excited that I started this journey towards becoming a dental hygienist. 

I can’t wait to see what this next lap has in store for me…how many bumps, turns, ups and downs it will have. Time flies but I can’t wait to make more memories.
