As the Men’s Cougars Basketball Season comes to an end, let’s look back at how the season unfolded. Despite only tallying one win on the year, Head Coach Roskyco Akins had nothing but positive things to say about his players and their season.

“We work hard,'' Akins said, "I cannot deny them that. They hustle. They play hard. Even though the ups and downs and wherever we go. I’m absolutely proud. They've been working hard, and I can’t complain about it. Unfortunately, we just have not been able to come out on top too often.”

The Cougar’s lone win this year came against Harrisburg Area Community College, tallying up a 78-77 victory. Colin Gery led the Cougars, scoring a career-high 41 points, while also grabbing 14 rebounds. Joe-Farentz Louis XVI scored a late three-point shot leading to a game-winning shot from Leandro Pascual de Los Santos.

Despite the lone win on the season, Gery saw success for himself, having eclipsed the 40-point mark twice this year and leading the Cougars in scoring averaging 17.8 points a game.

"I did want to become the leading scorer," Gery said. "I did get a win. Last year we were unable to get a win, so to just get one this season felt good. I think I put myself in a good position to get some offers to a four-year school and continue playing, so in those regards, this is a success.”

The Cougars finish the season with an overall record of 1-16 and a conference record of 0-12.
