Many people would agree that community colleges are a great place to start an education journey. They have affordable and flexible paths to higher education, featuring lower tuition costs, personalized learning environments, and strong connections to local job markets.

At LCCC, there are plenty of opportunities to partake in a job fair, a transfer event, and plenty of clubs to grow your experience and resume. The career development center will prepare you with everything you need to find a successful job and develop skills needed to get a job. The website states that they “empower students to develop career management skills they can use to achieve their professional goals.”

Many students that attend community colleges are looking for a cost-effective way to start their advancements in higher education.

“One of the main reasons I came here was because of the cost,” said Nova Kuntzman, a TV and film student at LCCC.

Community colleges offer personalized learning environments to enhance students' experiences and help them find what works best for them.

“Starting at a community college makes things a lot easier than starting at a four year university,” said Mike Ledvay, a student at LCCC.

Finally, community college allows students to establish strong connections to the job market and achieve job success.

“As a film student, I get tons of experience for a cheaper cost, and some schools don't offer stuff like this,” said Nova Kuntzmen, a student at LCCC.

Community colleges offer many great resources and benefits for students.
