Do You Smell What WrestleMania is Cooking?

This past weekend WrestleMania took place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. For me being there in person, the energy was at the highest level I have ever seen at a wrestling show. WWE is currently in a new era with Paul “HHH” Levesque taking over as in charge.
Paul’s father-in-law, Vince McMahon, was the former promoter and founder of the modern WWE. Paul kicked off WrestleMania announcing at the beginning of the show on Saturday that “we are in a new era.” WrestleMania was a two-night event on Saturday April 6th, and Sunday April 7th. This event had incredible matches and legendary performances.
Sami Zayn pulled off the unthinkable defeating Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship as Sami was a massive underdog and ended Gunther’s historic reign as champion which lasted over 600 days. It was a Rocky-like story for Sami.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made his WrestleMania return competing with his cousin Roman Reigns against Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Cody Rhodes which WWE called the Greatest Tag Team Match in WrestleMania history. This match from Saturday had major implications on the Roman vs Cody WWE Undisputed Championship match which occurred on Sunday. Roman and Rock prevailed as victorious meaning the title match on Sunday would be contested under Bloodline rules which meant anything goes, anyone could interfere.
Cody Rhodes for 2 years had been trying to “finish the story” and accomplish something that his father Dusty Rhodes never did, which was winning the WWE Championship. Cody ended the 1,316 day reign of Roman Reigns in the main event on Sunday.
