Finding Balance: Thriving Under College Pressure
Anthony DeVenuta│Editor
As a student in my final semester here at LCCC, I’ve found myself reflecting on the journey that brought me here — the projects, exams and deadlines I’ve overcome, and the skills I’ve developed along the way.
The pressure to succeed is real. Long nights studying, balancing work and personal commitments — it can be a lot. There were times when stress felt overwhelming, but instead of avoiding it, I learned to embrace it. Reaching out for help has been key. Whether talking with friends, using counseling services or connecting with professors, I found that leaning on others is a strength, not a weakness.
As I prepare to graduate, I’m grateful for the growth I’ve experienced. I’ve learned balance, resilience and the importance of celebrating small victories. If you’re just starting your journey, trust yourself and keep going. There will be hard times, but also moments of triumph and connection.
Don’t just try to survive college — conquer it. Discover what you’re capable of, find your balance and know that you can thrive through it all.
