First Flurries: Winter's Coming
Anthony DeVenuta | Editor
It’s official: the first flurries have fallen, and winter is right on our heels. Personally, I’m not ready. This is the time of year when everything seems to happen at once. Thanksgiving is just around the corner, Christmas decorations are already popping up, and yes, Mariah Carey is back in full force. Meanwhile, my desire to wrap myself in five blankets is reaching an all-time high.
If you haven’t guessed yet, I’m not a winter person. I know, apologies to all the snow enthusiasts out there. But for me, winter is cold, chaotic, and comes with the "insanity trifecta"—Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Black Friday. It’s the season of packed schedules, crowded stores, and holiday madness.
That being said, I do try to find some silver linings. The first snowfall is always kind of magical, even for someone who’s not a fan. It’s also a reminder that the end of the semester is near, and soon, we’ll get a much-needed break.
Whether you love the snow or, like me, are already counting down to spring, let’s take the season one flurry at a time. Stay warm, stay focused, and don’t let the chaos get the best of you. We’ve got this.
