It’s Okay to Ask for Help
Rhiannon McKee | Editor

At the beginning of a new semester it can feel like there’s a lot going on and too much homework to keep track of. This is the case for both new students and returning students, as the stress of getting good grades and keeping up with the workload is something no one is immune to. This is nothing to feel ashamed of, many of your classmates and peers are most likely feeling the same way. When you look around campus, you will see other students eager to learn and this unites us through our goals and values.
There are a lot of resources that LCCC offers so that if things are feeling too much, reach out to an advisor, counselor, or tutor. The tutoring and counseling centers are both located on the Schnecksville Campus. Make sure to do this before things get out of hand.
As soon as you start feeling overwhelmed, reach out to a counselor. If you are not understanding a concept in one of your classes, reach out to either your professor or a tutor. LCCC has a great tutor system, and they are always ready to help you with any assignment you are struggling with. The counseling center is there to help you if you are struggling with anxiety or are needing motivation, and there are success coaches available to all students.
If you need help, all you have to do is ask. The purpose of you being at college is to further your education, so don’t feel bad taking every opportunity to enhance your understanding.
