Halloween came to life at LCCC this year as the campus welcomed students, staff, and community members for a fun costume contest and an assortment of activities. Co-hosted by the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Art Club, activities included origami workshops, caricature drawing, pumpkin painting, and a scavenger hunt.

This year's competition included nine staff and 26 students. Many attendees also dressed up in costume for the festive atmosphere of the event as well.

"It was great to see so many people in costume supporting the event," said Gene Eden, the Director of Student Life.

The panel of judges included Veronica Blue, Assistant to the VP of Enrollment Management, Jessie Heimann, Assistant Professor of Communications, SGA leaders Olivia DeMeuse and Shen DeNardo, and SGA Senator Alex Cohen. There were special prizes for the audience favorite, in order to make the show more interactive.

The costume trends featured classic favorites like Superman and witches, along with creative newcomers like a homemade Gumby and Mr. Clean, which won top prize. In the staff competition, a themed biker gang took first place.

Participants appreciated the event as much-needed relief during the busy semester. The success of this event allowed student volunteers and SGA members to show their enthusiasm for making it happen. The entertainment provided by DJ KJ Lehigh kept the energy up during the event.

The costume contest brought the campus together, showing how creative, energetic, and spirited the community truly is.
