My Vinyl Search

Music has helped me in ways I can’t describe. One of the many hobbies I’ve taken on this past year is collecting vinyls. Whether it’s artists I’m familiar with, or interesting vinyl covers that catch my eye, expanding my music taste and educating myself on the different genres crafted throughout the decades is something I’ve grown to love.

Music has always played a huge part in my life. Every person I’ve met has influenced and encouraged me to explore different genres, but my dad has played the greatest role in my “music addiction” since he introduced me to some of my favorite artists to this day, like Yusuf (also known as Cat Stevens), John Denver, Simon and Garfunkel, and the list goes on!

When I go to a record store, I try to go in without any expectations since you truly don’t know what you’ll leave with. When deciding which vinyls I’d like to buy, I normally choose an artist I’m familiar with or I find a random vinyl that catches my eye. But if I’m being completely honest, those are usually the ones I like the most!

Picking up this hobby has been one of the best decisions I’ve made and I hope you’d like to try it out as well. Sometimes you may get a funky vinyl that isn’t necessarily your cup of tea but finally being able to listen to the record once you get home always brings such a thrill.
