Self-Love is in the Air

Welcome to the spring semester students! It is the time of year that starts off with snow that (eventually) melts into a balmy breeze. Hopefully when we get there, the tropical atmosphere can shimmer a bright light over the weather and shine a great deal of warmth in our activity.
My favorite part of the spring is when I can roll down the window in my car, feel the air rush in, and enjoy the scenery. You know what else accentuates the rush that someone feels? It’s when love is in the air.
While we wait for the balmy breezes, let’s focus on Valentine’s Day, which is right around the corner. During this celebration of love and affection, we would envision doing something sentimental for the people we love. But, what about you?
Valentine’s Day could also be a day where we celebrate ourselves. The affirmations you tell yourself in the morning, the breakfast you allow yourself to eat, getting yourself a good night's rest, etc. The possibilities are endless, but that’s up to you to decide.
The most important thing is to realize the strength you have had to make it this far (especially during this cold winter!), and I believe that is worth all the boxed chocolates you can have on Valentine’s Day.
