Why Not Billiards?

With all the pressure of balancing student life and work life, it’s important to find recreational activities to ease your mind. Things can get a little hectic balancing so much. Luckily, LCCC offers recreational activities for students to enjoy themselves. One activity that comes to mind is billiards. 

Billiards, also known as table pool, is a fun activity that anyone can pick up. LCCC offers students access to a billiards room, which is located on the lower level of Berrier Hall, across from the gym. The clubroom is open to any student of any skill level to play billiards recreationally.

Billiards is fun but can also allow you to challenge yourself. Think of it sort of like chess, will you predict your opponent's next move, or will you go on the attack?  Billiards is all about patience, it’s a great way to improve your focus. Billiards isn’t meant to be all about focus and strategy, it is also about socializing with others in a friendly environment.

I find myself playing billiards whenever I get the chance to, because it is fun. Having hobbies is important, and LCCC gives us as students the opportunity to get involved, connect with others, and have fun with things like billiards.

I know work can pile up and things can get crazy, sometimes it is important to find activities to help you relax for a moment. Next time you are looking for something to do and you’re on campus, I suggest trying out billiards.
